Five members of the housing team at West Lindsey District Council are now qualified to inspect houses and judge whether they are fit to live in.
The award is nationally recognised and can only be awarded by the University of Warwick.
Training for the award was carried out by Decent and Safe Homes, part of Derby City Council, and they were so impressed by the facilities available at the council headquarters at the Guildhall in Gainsborough, that they have decided to use it as their training base.
Council Chairman Cllr. Jessie Milne, Conservative (Lea Ward), presented the awards.
