General and Local Election Campaigns Begin

The election campaign starts today and we are fired up and ready to go!

In thirty days, the nation will cast their votes in the most exciting and important set of elections in a generation.

In our parliamentary seat of Gainsborough a win for Edward Leigh will help to ensure that the Conservatives have a working majority in Parliament and the nation a government fit for purpose.

In the Liberal Democrat stronghold of the Nettleham Ward, the extraordinary event of having the General and Local Elections falling on the same day will give us the greatest chance of winning Council seats in decades.

Speaking earlier today Giles McNeill said:
"Thursday, 6th May 2010 will be an unprecedented day for our country and nowhere could your help be more important than in the Nettleham Ward.

"My team and I will be out most nights knocking on doors and spreading the message from now until the final vote is cast and any time you could spare could make the difference.

"Thursday, 6th May 2010 will be decision day. It could either usher in five more years of Gordon Brown’s failed and depressing leadership or it could lead to a Conservative victory breathing new life into our nation.

"Please do let me know if you’d like to be join in the campaign!"
